Building Use

We welcome community groups to use our facility for meeting space based upon availability.  We currently host several Girl Scout/Brownie and Daisy Troops.  We also host a Weight Watchers groups which meets each Wednesday at 5:30 PM.  Please contact the church office at 570-675-3616 for availability. 

Our Social Hall is available to rent to both members and the community.  Please contact the church office at 570-675-3616 for cost and availability.  Renters must sign a lease agreement and follow all United Methodist Church rules and guidelines.

Our SUMC pavilion was built as a youth project.  Later, a sign for the pavilion was added, as well as electricity, lighting and fans.  These were completed as Eagle Scout projects.

We hold many activities and events at our church pavilion located at 143 N. Pioneer Avenue, across from the Shavertown UM Church, just past the St. Nicholas Cemetery.

It is the location for our annual outdoor worship and picnic, our summer community meals, our Wednesday evening summer Bible study, as well as the Back to School Bash and Trunk or Treat.

The parking lot, known as the “upper lot” is available for overflow parking for worship and ministry events.

The pavilion is available to rent for private parties and events.  Please contact the church office at 570-675-3616 for cost and availability.  Renters must sign a lease agreement and follow all United Methodist Church rules and guidelines.
